A review of intra articular joint injection techniques that have been traditionally accepted and taught but may not be based on the micro and macro anatomy of a joint. The author presents data that alters the accepted paradigm and suggests a scientific approach to treating articular joints with periarticular injection technique to improve biologic therapeutic outcomes, with less risk and greater success.
